The Betta Splendens, also known as Cupang Hias, particularly in the Indonesia. This fish is one of popular fish for freshwater fish hobbiest. Several factor that make this fish popular are their colors that attractive. This species lives approximately 2-5 years in captivity, generally between 2-3 year, fed with anabolic 5-7 years.

Betta fish originated from Thailand and Cambodia. Bettas (Betta splendens) are very colorful with colors ranging from vibrant reds to irridescent blues.   Betta fish possess a special organ (the labyrinth) which is located just behind the head that allow them to breath air.
